Volunteers wanted – Marie Curie shop in Aberdeen

As part of Make a Difference day on Friday 29th Oct, Dame Anne Begg MP volunteered at the shop raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care in Chapel Street in her constituency. Charities depend on volunteers for their existence, particularly those who help out in the shops many charities run to raise funds. “While many are aware of the need for donations to these shops, what is not so well known is that there is a shortage of volunteers to help out,” said Dame Anne as she added labels to clothes before they went on display in the shop. “If anyone has any spare time and wants to help, please get in touch with the shop directly. You will be welcomed with open arms.”
