Dame Anne Begg MP calls for musicians and film makers to enter Parliament’s largest competitions, Rock the House and Film the House.
Both competitions offer the opportunity for Aberdeen South’s creatives to have their work judged by the leading lights of industry and win prizes ranging from festival slots, studio time, equipment, and the opportunity to have your work premiered in London’s West End to name a few!
Dame Anne Begg MP said: “Both Rock the House and Film the House provide great opportunities for aspiring artists and filmmakers of any age who are looking to find a way into either industry.
“Last year I received a number of fantastic entries from my constituents and I was delighted that one of the entries was selected to be in the finals with the filmmaker being invited to attend an event in Parliament.
“The range of entries I have received over the years the competitions have been running really demonstrates the creative talent that exists in Aberdeen South and I hope to receive as many submissions as possible this year.”
Rock legend and actor, Alice Cooper said: “Rock the House is a great project which celebrates the fantastic diversity of the British music scene and gives musicians a vehicle through which to hold their legislators accountable about protecting the music industry’s intellectual property.”
Applicants have until 31st March to submit their entries to the competition. For more information on how to enter Rock the House go to www.rockthehousehoc.com/apply.html; and for Film the House www.filmthehouse.com/apply.html.
